ISSUES PRESENTED: (1) Whether the plea was involuntary when defendant was promised diversion but was rejected through no fault of his own.  (2) Whether the Appellate Division can let a guilty plea and sentence stand, even though the plea was premised on the promise of an illegally low sentence, simply by letting the illegally low sentence stand.  (Assigned counsel: Claudia Flores & Robert S.
