CAL client removed from SORA registry following successful 168-o petition

Share

Since his initial level-two designation in 1997, Mr. G had sought to reduce his SORA level through positive life changes. Despite a prior failure to obtain a reduction from the courts, after showing that he’d spent decades in the community without reoffense, maintained stable employment, and had a tight-knit support system, CAL persuaded the court in a 168-o petition that Mr. G’s designation should be reduced to level one, resulting in his removal from the registry, nearly 30 years after his initial designation. CAL attorneys Rashad Moore & Ben Rutkin-Becker represented Mr. G.
